Good questions. Straight answers.
A practical guide to the hosting model and the current product preview.
What is container hosting?
Container hosting runs an application in an isolated environment with defined memory, CPU, and storage limits. Containers share the host operating system kernel; they are not full virtual machines.
Is this the same as a VPS?
No. A virtual machine has its own guest operating system. Container hosting shares a host kernel and gives an application a defined resource budget. OpenHostify’s catalog describes container hosting; a standalone VPS offer is not currently configured.
How much memory is included?
The illustrative Starter, Developer, and Growth configurations include 2 GB, 3 GB, and 4 GB of memory respectively. Final allocations and prices must be confirmed before an offer can be purchased.
Can I deploy a Node.js application?
Node.js is included in the sample environment catalog. Runtime versions, source integration, and deployment availability will be listed when the provisioning backend is connected.
Can I connect my own domain?
The dashboard includes a domain configuration preview. Actual DNS verification and certificate issuance require the domain and certificate services to be connected.
Are SSL certificates and backups included?
No certificate or backup entitlement is promised by this preview. An active plan’s features, retention policy, and restore capabilities must be confirmed at checkout.
Can I upgrade or cancel?
The billing interface previews plan changes and cancellation requests. The billing provider and published subscription terms will determine effective dates, charges, and refunds.
What happens at a resource limit?
Memory, CPU, storage, and networking have different enforcement behavior. Workloads may slow down, be restarted, or fail writes depending on the limit. Monitor usage and leave operational headroom.
Where will my application be hosted?
No production regions or infrastructure providers are confirmed in this preview. Available regions and the applicable subprocessors will be disclosed before purchase.
